Dental Implants

You’ve lost a tooth or never had it to begin with. Dental implant is the latest and most conservative treatment option to restore the missing tooth independently without relying on the adjacent teeth such as bridge or removable denture.

Implant is surgically placed in the jawbone to support the crown, bridge, or denture (implant-supported denture). It mimics the appearance and function of the natural tooth.

Our office offers a full service from treatment planning to surgical placement and restoration of implants, utilizing the lasted technologies such as the 3D CT scan to provide the safe and long-lasting results to our patients.

You're a good candidate if

  • You’re in good health.

  • You have enough bone to have the implants in the jaw.

  • You’re committed to good oral hygiene maintenance.

The implants are metal posts that are placed in the jaw bone placed under the gums to provide the stable support for implant prosthesis such as crowns, bridges, or dentures. After 3-6 months of healing, the implants are tested to determine if they are ready to receive the prosthesis. After completion of the implant prosthesis, the maintenance with regular check up is the key for long-term success of the implants.

What to Expect

  • Multiple visits are expected to examine, treatment plan, and perform procedures. There will be follow up appointments between procedure appointments.

  • We begin with a thorough examination clinically and radiographically (X rays and 3D CT scan). The implants are planned to be placed in the precise location, and a surgical guide could be considered if necessary. If you have insufficient jaw bone, then bone grafting could be considered to augment the bone volume.

  • The implants are metal posts that are surgically placed in the jawbone. It usually takes 3-6 months of healing to fully integrate with the surrounding bone and to provide the stable support for implant prosthesis (such as crowns, bridges, or dentures)

  • Once the healing is complete, the implants are tested to determine if they are ready to receive the prosthesis.

  • The putty impressions or digital scan will be taken to fabricate the implant crowns or bridge.

  • Final visit is the delivery of the prosthesis. We will take x-rays to ensure proper fit — No micro gaps at the interface between the abutment and implant crown.
